This model is designed to address the complex array of discrimination and stigma that HIV-positive transgender women experience, to ultimately link and retain them in quality health care. The discussion will show that integrating HIV testing, treatment, and care into a trusted community setting providing an open access drop-in space and primary care clinic increases transgender community access and utilization of HIV services. The complex barriers to safety and justice faced by the community must be addressed with supportive services like community programming, peer navigation, case management, mental health and substance abuse counseling, empowerment workshops, digital storytelling, job training and leadership development. This roundtable will foster a discussion about the importance of maintaining transgender cultural humility and addressing all of the complex needs in order to engage clients in care.
