The Affordable Care Act (ACA) provides tremendous opportunity related to the prevention, care and treatment of HIV. Addressing inequities in access to health insurance coverage and HIV services compels the engagement communities disparately impacted by the epidemic. This session will explore strategies to tailor ACA outreach and enrollment efforts to LGBTQ communities of color, with an emphasis on minority men who have sex with men. At the end of this session participants will be able to:
1.) Identify best practices to use public information (such as Census data) to target LGBT families
2.) Understand effective and compelling messages and messengers that resonate with LGBTQ communities of color.
3.) Explore opportunities to address health insurance literacy challenges.
